Baxter has successful surgery

Gary Baxter underwent successful surgery on Tuesday to repair the patella tendon in both of his knees.
The surgery was performed at The Cleveland Clinic by Head Team Physician, Dr. Anthony Miniaci. There has been no timetable set for his return.
Baxter suffered the injuries during the second quarter of Sunday's loss to Denver on an incomplete deep pass to Javon Walker. It was his first game back since Week Two, when he reaggravated a pectoral injury he initially suffered during the preseason.
He played just 5 games in 2005 -- his first season as a Brown. He was placed on injured-reserve after incurring an unrelated pectoral injury.
A recent victim of the injury bug, Baxter did not miss a single game during any of his three seasons as a starter for the Baltimore Ravens from 2002-04, playing all 48 contests.
Browns center LeCharles Bentley injured his patellar tendon on the first play of team drills during 2006 training camp and is currently on injured-reserve.
