Barclay goes 99 in Berlin win

Chris Barclay took a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown during the second quarter of a Berlin Thunder victory over the Cologne Centurions during Week 4 of NFL Europa action.
The return got the Thunder on the board after allowing three early touchdowns to the Centurions and spurred on a 21-point comeback that eventually led to a 31-28 win.
For his effort, he was named NFL Europa Special Teams Player of the Week.
Barclay returned a total of five kicks for 180 yards, rushed 15 times for 38 yards and caught one pass for 6 yards during the victory. After four games, Barclay leads NFL Europa with404 kick return yards.
Browns receiver Steve Sanders also played in the game for Berlin but did not record a catch.
In the loss, Brownslinebacker Clifton Smith marked 8 tackles for the Centurions and forced a fumble during a crucial fourth-quarter drive for Berlin, giving the ball back to Cologne.
Punter Kyle Basler continued a strong season Saturday during the Frankfurt Galaxy's 19-17 loss to Amsterdam. Basler punted 3 times for 126 yards (42.0 avg.). His longest punt of the day traveled 51 yards from the Frankfurt 15 to the Amsterdam 34 and was returned 12 yards.
In the win, Browns defensive lineman Alvin Smith recorded 3 tackles.
Week Five of NFL Europa action kicks off at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday when Frankfurt (3-1) travels to Rhein (1-3). The game will air live on NFL Network. Later in the weekend, Amsterdam (2-2) will play at Hamburg (2-2), while Cologne (2-2) travels to Berlin (2-2). Those games will air on tape delay at 1 a.m. Sunday and Monday, respectively, on NFL Network.
