The Browns have placed starting right guard Seth McKinney on injured-reserve, the team announced Saturday.
McKinney, a six-year veteran, started the team's first eight games of the season but was injured during the club's victory over the Seattle Seahawks last Sunday.
McKinney's absence will likely place either Lennie Friedman or Ryan Tucker in the starting lineup for the remainder of the year.
The move marks the first change on the team's starting offensive line since the '07 season began.
McKinney was signed by the Browns as an unrestricted free agent in March. He has played in 69 career games, including 42 starts, with Cleveland and Miami. McKinney was originally a third round, 90th overall, choice by the Dolphins in the 2002 NFL Draft. He sat out the 2006 season with a neck injury.
