Jones practices again, hopes to play

Sean Jones appears to be on his way back to action. And while the Browns await further word on Kellen Winslow, the Redskins practiced again Thursday without five injured starters including Clinton Portis, Chris Samuels and Jason Taylor.
Jones now has two full practices under his belt, his first full practices since he had arthroscopic knee surgery Sept. 11.
Of Jones' first practice Wednesday, Crennel said "I think he was just glad to be out there and be able to run with his unit. He was feeling frisky."
Crennel said he hopes Jones will play Sunday.
The Browns hope they'll have Winslow, too, and Winslow was scheduled to return to the team Thursday. But Crennel offered nothing further than he did Wednesday, when he said Winslow was "50-50" for Sunday's game in Washington.
The Browns listed Ryan Tucker (knee) and Kevin Shaffer (concussion) as limited participants Thursday. Tucker sat out Wednesday; Shaffer has now been limited two consecutive days.
It remains to be seen how healthy the banged-up Redskins can get between now and Sunday, but names like Taylor, Samuels and Portis certainly stand out on the injury report.
Taylor (calf) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report. Starting cornerback Carlos Rogers (calf) was limited Wednesday and out on Thursday. Linebacker Khary Campbell (calf) and cornerback Fred Smoot (groin) were again limited Thursday.
Portis (hip) and Samuels (ankle) also sat out Wednesday.
