The Browns have confirmed that Brady Quinn will make his first NFL start Thursday night when the Browns host the Broncos.
Quinn, the second of the team's two first-round picks in 2007, will replace Derek Anderson.
Quinn started two games this preseason but has just one regular-season appearance under his belt, a one-drive cameo in last year's season finale. He went 3-of-8 for 45 yards and the Browns kicked a field goal after Kellen Winslow dropped a pass in the endzone.
The Browns hope the switch will ignite an offense that was one of the league's best last year but entered Sunday's 37-27 loss to the Ravens ranked 30th in total offense.
Quinn was 14-of-24 for 106 yards in the Browns' third preseason game against the Lions and 7-of-9 for 65 yards in the preseason finale against the Bears.
