On behalf of the Cleveland Browns Foundation, THANK YOU for all of your help and support throughout the 3rd Annual Radiothon in partnership with ESPN 850 WKNR. Thanks to generous donors and bidders, the 28 hour fundraiser raised $137,164 through online and on-air bidding. With Cleveland Browns Owner’s Dee and Jimmy Haslam’s generous dollar for dollar match, the Radiothon raised over $250,000 to benefit education and youth development in Northeast Ohio!
The Cleveland Browns Foundation, hosted on Good Karma Brands’ ESPN 850 WKNR, conducted interviews with 22 players, 29 foundation grant partner representatives and 15 Browns staff members and personnel. Throughout the 28 hours of Browns content, over 100 auction items were available and we received bids and donations from over 500 individuals.
New in 2016, the Cleveland Browns Foundation hosted the inaugural Yoga Night on Tuesday night (9/13) as part of the Radiothon experience. A total of 348 participants signed up for the event, raising nearly $7,000 for the Cleveland Browns Foundation Radiothon, supporting education-based organizations and youth programs in the region. LB Nate Orchard greeted guests and mingled before the yoga session kicked off, and Inner Bliss Yoga Studios and Cleveland Yoga co-led the yoga session on the practice field house.
All proceeds will benefit the Cleveland Browns Foundation in its mission to promote education and youth development across the Greater Cleveland area. Its goal is to identify problems and help eliminate barriers – so that all students have access to a high-quality education regardless of zip code, race or disability. The Cleveland Browns Foundation supports organizations such as Achievement Centers for Children, Cleveland Metropolitan School District, College Now Greater Cleveland, Cuyahoga County Universal Prekindergarten program, Ginn Academy, Shoes and Clothes for Kids, The Centers for Families and Children and United Way of Greater Cleveland.
