Mike Furrey

Q: Which do you like better, playing defense or offense?

A: Offense. You always want to touch the football.

Q: What is your favorite stadium to play in?

A: Soldier Field, just because of the history.

Q: Which professional football player, not on the Browns, do you respect the most and why?

A: Isaac Bruce. His passion for the game, his work ethic for the game, he’s a pretty good player.

Q: Do you have any special rituals you do be before a game?

A: I shower.

Q: When you are watching a game and see the coaches on the headsets, what are the coaches talking about?

A: I would like to know.

Q: Is it hard to learn all the plays you need to know for your team?

A: At the beginning, but not right now.

Q: What would you be if you weren’t a football player?

A: I would be a contractor for building houses. I just love building stuff.

Q: How hard is it to play in the NFL?

A: You’re playing against the best. Obviously, it’s difficult, but it’s also pretty exciting. Every weekend, you’re playing against some of the best athletes in the world.

Q: Do you still love to play the game?

A: Always. When that goes, I’m done.

Q: I know you really like to play golf, what is your handicap?

A: I’m probably right now a 10-handicap.

Q: What was your favorite outdoor game to play as a kid?

A: Whiffle ball.

Q: What's your favorite snack?

A: Oatmeal crème pies.

Q: I was wondering what kind of workout regimen you go through to stay in shape all throughout the year?

A: We usually go to a facility somewhere down South during the offseason, train down there and get on a diet, get off the snack diet.

Q: Do your kids play any sports?  What sports do they like?

A: Right now, they love soccer. My son loves football; my daughter loves soccer, basketball, all of them, which is good.
