Avon battles Columbian in second round

Avon takes on Tiffin Columbian in Division II playoff action in tonight's Cleveland Browns High School Game of the Week, presented by PNC Bank.

The Avon Eagles look to continue their quest towards another appearance in the State Championship and they will run in to a familiar foe in Tiffin Columbian tonight in the Division II, Region 6 semifinal matchup. The two teams squared off in last year's regional final, when Avon won 35-21.

What to watch for: The Eagles offense features a pair of standouts -- including Michigan commit Ross Douglas, who has rushed for over 1,200 yards and 22 touchdowns this year. The other, senior quarterback David Zeh, has passed for 1,800 yards and 22 touchdowns. Columbian, meanwhile, comes in as the No. 1 seed in the region. The offense is well-balanced behind RB Jack Jacoby and QB Mike Rohrbach.

Tonight's game will be played at Fremont Ross High School and kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
