Browns Backers Club Donate Back to the Cleveland Browns Foundation

Back on October 28th, the Cleveland Browns defeated the San Diego Chargers. This game marked their second win at home this season and it also marked an important charity drive for the Browns Backers Worldwide (BBW) clubs.

Every year, BBW clubs are asked to raise funds for the Cleveland Browns Foundation during a selected game. This year, during the Browns vs. Chargers game, clubs all across the world held watch parties and raised funds through 50/50 drawings, raffles, flag football tournaments and numerous other activities. Collectively, a total of 33 clubs donated $7,891.33 to the Cleveland Browns Foundation. Clubs who donated are Browns Backer of Greenville, Browns Backers of Jamestown NY,  Browns Backers of Kansas City, Browns Backers of Omaha, Browns Backers of Pinellas, Browns Backers of the Sandhills, Burnt River Browns Backers, Central City Browns Backers, Central Virginia Browns Backers, Cin-Day Lucky Dawgs, Dallas Area Browns Backers, Derby City Browns Backers, Kent Browns Backers, Lady Lake Tri-County Browns Backers, Lake County Browns Backers, Lake Erie Islands Browns Backers, Miamisburg Browns Backers, Northern Nevada Browns Backers, Palm Beach Browns Backers, Philadelphia Browns Backers, Photo City Browns Backers, Pikes Peak Browns Backers, Raleigh Browns Backers, River Rats Browns Backers, San Diego Browns Backers, Stark County Browns Backers, Tidewater Browns Backers, Touchdown Browns Backers, Van Wert Area Browns Backers, Vegas Dawg Pound, Vegas Connection, Virginia Peninsula Browns Backers and Winston Salem Browns Backers.

The contributions from the BBW clubs will be used towards the 2013 Foundation programming that includes the Adapted Football League, Back to School Campaign, Browns Backers Worldwide Grant Competition, Hero Fund, Vision First, Marion Motley Scholarship, Browns Kids Program, and Fitness Zones.

Founded in 1999, the Browns Foundation was created to provide assistance to those in need. Over the years, the Browns Foundation programs have grown to advance development in core areas that were beginning to lose attention with focus on kids causes related to citizenship, education, health & wellness and youth football.
