In a 37-24 victory vs. Buffalo Thursday, Benjamin set a Browns record with 179 punt-return yards, including a 79-yard touchdown and a 57-yard return, which set up a field goal. His 179 punt-return yards were the most since Detroit’s Eddie Drummond recorded 199 in 2004 (vs. Jacksonville on Nov. 14) and surpassed Eric Metcalf (166 vs. Pittsburgh on Oct. 24, 1993) for the most by a Browns player in club annals. Benjamin’s total also ranks as the sixth-most in NFL history.
On the season, Benjamin is second in the league with both an average of 15.1 yards per punt return and 256 total punt-return yards. He is also the only NFL player with two 50-yard punt returns in a contest this season.

During the Browns’ three-game winning streak, Cleveland has won two AFC Special Teams Player of the Week awards and during the span the club is second in the league in both punt-return average (18.7) and total return yards (336), and tied for second in punts inside the 20-yard line (8). The Browns also are one of four teams with a special-teams touchdown during that span, and have the eighth-best net punting average (42.1).
