Browns add Elmore to practice squad

The Cleveland Browns added defensive lineman Ricky Elmore to the practice squad, the team announced Tuesday evening.

The Cleveland Browns today signed defensive lineman Ricky Elmore to the practice squad.

Originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round (197th overall) of the 2011 draft, Elmore spent two weeks of the 2011 postseason on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad. He spent training camp in 2012 with the San Diego Chargers and three weeks of the 2012 regular season on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad before being released on September 25. He finished his career at the University of Arizona second in school history with 25.5 sacks. Born February 1, 1988, the 6-5, 255-pound Elmore is a native of Simi Valley, Calif., where he attended Grace Brethren High School.
