The Cleveland Browns today named Tim Hauck defensive backs coach, the team announced. Hauck comes to the Browns after spending two seasons (2009-10) as an assistant secondary coach with the Tennessee Titans.
Prior to joining the Titans, Hauck spent five years as an assistant on the collegiate level, first at his alma mater, the University of Montana (2004-07) and also at UCLA (2008). He enjoyed a 13-year playing career as a safety in the NFL, which included stints with New England (1990), Green Bay (1991-94), Denver (1995-96), Seattle (1997), Indianapolis (1998), Philadelphia (1999-2001) and San Francisco (2002). He originally signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2000 and appeared in 183 career regular season games in addition to eight playoff contests.
