The Browns vs. Steelers game was not the only competition taking place Sunday. Prior to kickoff, 40 local children competed in the NFL Punt, Pass & Kick Team Championships at the Cleveland Browns Training and Administrative Complex. All participants launched one punt, one pass and one kick with scores based on distance and accuracy (in feet). The competition featured five age divisions (ages 6-15) for both boys and girls.
Through the Team Championship, 10 winners were crowned and will have their scores tabulated against all other Punt, Pass & Kick team championships for a chance to advance to the National Finals. The top four scorers in each age group from around the country will qualify for that honor.
Additionally, all of the competitors were recognized during halftime of the Browns-Steelers game at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
