Posted Apr 25, 2013

On Thursday evening, the Cleveland Browns hosted their annual Draft Day Party during the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft at FirstEnergy Stadium, Home of the Cleveland Browns.

As the Cleveland Browns’ front office and coaching staff was preparing for the 2013 NFL Draft at the team’s Berea headquarters, 2,007 fans filled FirstEnergy Stadium, Home of the Cleveland Browns for the team’s annual Draft Day Party.

“Our fans lined up to come in for the first-ever draft party at FirstEnergy Stadium,” said Beth Brand, manager of special events for the Browns. “There were many season-ticket holders, Browns Backers and avid fans here tonight. Everyone is really excited about Browns football and can’t wait for the season to start.”

In addition to watching the first round of the NFL Draft, where the Browns selected former Louisiana State defensive end Barkevious Mingo with the No. 6 overall pick, the fans had an opportunity to visit with several current and former Browns players.

Defensive backs Joe Haden and T.J. Ward joined defensive lineman Ahtyba Rubin, as well as former linebackers Frank Stams (1992-95) and Dick Ambrose (1975-83), offensive guard Dan Fike (1985-92), and wide receiver Reggie Langhorne (1985-91) were on hand to sign autographs.

“It’s really great to see our alumni and players come together and spend time with our fans,” Brand said. “You could tell that our fans really appreciated the opportunity to interact with them. Hundreds of fans lined up for autographs.”
