The Browns made a series of roster moves, the team announced Wednesday evening.

The Cleveland Browns today signed unrestricted free agent defensive back Dimitri Patterson, who spent the past two years with the Philadelphia Eagles. The club also signed free agent punter Richmond McGee and undrafted free agent linebackers Archie Donald and Eric Gordon. In addition, the team placed punter Reggie Hodges on injured reserve and waived linebackers Derrick Addai and Alex Wujciak.

Originally signed by Washington as an undrafted free agent in 2005, Patterson has appeared in 50 regular season contests during his time with the Redskins (2005), Chiefs (2007-08) and Eagles (2009-10). He has totaled 64 career tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and five interceptions, including one that he returned 40-yards for a touchdown last season. In 2010, he started nine of the 16 games in which he appeared and registered career-highs in tackles (62) and interceptions (4), while also recording his first career sack.  Patterson transferred to Tuskegee University (2004) after spending three years at Southeast Missouri State University (2001-03). He is a native of Orlando, Fla., where he attended Evans High School.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Philadelphia in 2008, McGee has spent training camps with the Eagles (2008) and the Bears (2009-10). He was in camp with Chicago this year before being waived on August 1. Last season, he had a brief stint on the Bears’ practice squad. McGee handled the punting and kickoff duties during his collegiate career at the University of Texas (2002-05), where he booted 130 punts for a 39.6 average. He is a native of Garland, Texas where he attended Garland High School.

Donald led the University of Toledo (2006, 2008-10) in tackles in each of his final three seasons. In his collegiate career, he recorded five sacks, five interceptions and 424 tackles, which rank sixth all-time at UT. Donald is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., where he attended Penn Hills High School.

Gordon was a four-year letterman at Michigan State University (2007-10), where he started 49 of his 51 career contests. He totaled 331 career tackles and 9.5 sacks. His 49 starts set an MSU record. Gordon was in camp this year with the Jaguars before being waived on August 1.  He is a native of Traverse City Mich., where he attended Traverse City West High School.
