Originally signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2012, Adams spent time on the practice squads of Tampa Bay (three weeks) and Detroit (seven weeks), before spending the final three weeks of the regular season on the Browns’ practice squad. Adams was a two-year starter at LSU (2010-11) after transferring from Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He totaled 6.5 sacks during his two years with the Tigers. Born November 3, 1988, the 6-5, 250-pound Adams is a native of Enterprise, Ala., where he attended Enterprise High School.
Originally drafted by Detroit in the seventh round (255th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft, Gronkowski has appeared in 21 career games with five starts and has recorded nine receptions for 69 yards. He appeared in five games with the Browns in 2011 after joining the team as a free agent on December 20. Gronkowski spent training camp with the club in 2012 before being waived during final roster cuts.
Richardson spent the past two seasons with the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena League. Last season he recorded 80 tackles, four forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and a league-leading 14 interceptions en route to being named the AFL Defensive Back of the Year. He was a four-year letterman at West Virginia University (2006-09), where he totaled 55 career tackles and one interception. Born April 21, 1987, the 5-11, 200-pound Richardson is a native of Tallahassee, Fla., where he attended Rickards High School.
