Week in review:
To our excitement, “Cleveland Browns Daily, Driven by Liberty Ford” is going to be the subject of a feature story in the life section of Sunday’s News Herald.
Mark Meszoros, the paper’s entertainment editor, attended training camp on Monday to interview host Vic Carucci and observe our daily show-related activities. He watched training-camp practice with Vic, while also interviewing and photographing him for the article. Mark then spent some time in our studio and sat in on Vic’s interview with the voice of the Browns, Jim Donovan.
During the interview, Jim and Vic talked about quarterback
“I think this game becomes very anticipated,” Jim said. “Everyone in Browns nation wants to see him play and do better.”
Bernie Kosar also appeared on Monday’s show and talked about the some of the harsh media and fan criticism that Weeden and other players received for their performance against the Lions.
“Sometimes people are a little too critical on the way they analyze the game,” Bernie pointed out. “There’s a lot of work that needs to be done, but they got some done the other night.”
Due to the pouring rain, Tuesday morning’s practice moved inside and was closed to the public. The good news was that, with closer proximity to the field, we were able to get some really good photos to post on the Cleveland Browns Daily official Twitter page: @browns_daily.
Tuesday’s show featured a positional-spotlight look at linebacker. Bill Davis, the Browns’ linebacker coach, talked with Vic about how injuries at the position have allowed several young players to get extra practice repetitions and playing time in games.
Coach Davis spoke very highly of rookie
Last Sunday, we hosted our third training-camp tent sessions at training camp, and it turned out to be another big success. A large crowd gathered to listen to show regular Hanford Dixon and Vic talk about the Browns and answer questions.
Hanford then spent about 45 minutes signing autographs and posing for photos. It was another picture-perfect day with fans enthralled with the chance to engage with Hanford and Vic.
Our final tent event will be Sunday, Aug. 19, from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Training camp is scheduled to end on Aug. 22, so make sure to make it out one last time for some football discussion, autograph signings, and fun.
