The Cleveland Browns and Good Karma Broadcasting's ESPN 850 WKNR announced today that "Cleveland Browns Daily, Driven by Liberty Ford" host Vic Carucci will be joined by national sports radio host Nathan Zegura. In addition, the show will move from its 6 p.m. time to a new spot in the lineup and will now air live every Monday through Friday from 1-3 p.m. (ET).
Beginning this Monday, Cleveland Browns Daily will originate from a radio studio in the Browns' newly renovated facility in Berea, Ohio. In addition to Carucci and Zegura, ESPN Cleveland host Je'Rod Cherry will join the show as a contributing host, and will appear in-studio regularly throughout the year.
"We're absolutely thrilled to launch this new show on Monday with national-level talent," said Browns President Alec Scheiner. "The expanded format gives us more opportunities to engage our fans year-round, including interactive segments such as fan phone calls. We also can better keep our fans informed from Berea. It's unique because it originates from the heart of our brand-new offices. Plus, this is a significant piece of our new partnership with ESPN 850 WKNR."
Earlier this year, ESPN Cleveland and the Browns announced a long-term partnership in which the Browns games will be broadcast on ESPN 850 WKNR. The partnership also encompasses over 1,000 hours of official Browns programming.
"We are excited to offer our fans more Browns programming with the expansion of Cleveland Browns Daily," said GKB Vice President and ESPN Cleveland General Manager Keith Williams. "I'm confident fans will appreciate what Vic and Nathan will bring to the table every day, and we look forward to making sure the Browns are a big part of our lineup year-round."
ESPN 850 WKNR fans may remember Zegura, who joins the show this year, as he previously hosted the "Fantasy Football Power Hour" on ESPN 850 WKNR. Zegura hosts a nationally syndicated radio show on Sirius XM called the "Fantasy Consultant," and co-hosts "1st and Awesome," which also airs on Sirius XM.
Cleveland Browns Daily can be heard year-round Monday – Friday from 1-3 p.m. (ET) on ESPN 850 WKNR, and streaming online at ESPNCleveland.com and ClevelandBrowns.com. Fans may also listen to the show via the free ESPN Radio App on their mobile devices. To accommodate the lineup change, ESPN Cleveland will move the Jim Rome Show to ESPN 1540 KNR2 so that all three hours of the show will air contiguously. Fans may listen to the Jim Rome Show on ESPN 1540 KNR2, ESPNCleveland.com or through the free ESPN Radio App, Monday through Friday from 12-3 p.m.
