Two dozen players joined head coach Mike Pettine, general manager Ray Farmer and team president Alec Scheiner on an empty practice field. All at once, they were drenched from head to toe with the ice.
Pettine made an announcement moments before the #IceBucketChallenge, honoring O.J. Brigance, a former Ravens player stricken with ALS disease.
“On behalf of the Cleveland Browns and the Haslam 3 foundation, we accept the challenge from the Ravens and especially the Jets,” Pettine told a throng of media. “We will be making a sizeable donation in the name of O.J. Brigance. He’s one of the most amazing human beings I’ve ever come across on this planet.
“Also, Rex [Ryan]. I know you want to punch me in the face, Any time you want to go toe-to-toe, you know where to find me.”
