EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Despite a 14-point deficit in the first quarter, the New York Giants earned a 41-27, come-from-behind victory over the Cleveland Browns at MetLife Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Rookie running back David Wilson increased the Giants’ lead to 41-20 over the Browns with a 40-yard touchdown run at the 5:41 mark of the fourth quarter.
On first-and-10 from the Browns’ 40-yard line, Wilson took the handoff and ran behind right guard Chris Snee for the touchdown.

Third-year wide receiver Victor Cruz caught his third touchdown pass of the day, a 28-yarder, and extended the Giants’ lead to 34-17 over the Browns at the 5:06 mark of the third quarter.
Cruz’s catch came on the heels of a defensive stop by the Giants and a Browns punt downed by defensive back ![]()
Lawrence Tynes’ 40-yard field goal as time expired gave the Giants a 27-17 halftime lead over the Browns.
When Cruz caught a seven-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Eli Manning, the Giants took their first lead of the game over the Browns at 24-17 with 1:10 left in the first half.
Cruz ran an out-route and broke free of the coverage before hauling in the pass.
The Giants’ third touchdown of the game was set up by a Cleveland turnover.
On the kickoff after the Giants’ 29-yard field goal, Cribbs returned the ball 30 yards, but was hit by safety Will Hill and lost the football. Hill recovered the fumble at the Browns’ 29-yard line.
Running back Ahmad Bradshaw’s four-yard touchdown run and Tynes’ extra point got the Giants even with the Browns at 17-17 with 2:52 left in the first half.
The two-play, 40-yard scoring drive was set up by a Browns turnover.
On third-and-one from the Giants’ 25-yard line, Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden threw an interception to New York safety Stevie Brown. The defensive back returned the ball 46 yards to the Browns’ 40-yard line.
One play after the interception, Manning connected with rookie wide receiver Reuben Randle on a 36-yard pass play.
Earlier in the quarter, Tynes made a 29-yard field goal and cut the Browns’ lead to 17-10 at the 6:46 mark of the first half.
Tynes’ kick capped off a 14-play, 68-yard drive that took 6:53 off the second-quarter clock. The field goal drive was New York’s second scoring possession of more than six minutes in the first half.
Browns kicker Phil Dawson kicked a 32-yard field goal and extended the team’s lead to 17-7 over the Giants with 13:39 left to play in the first half.
Dawson’s kick, his ninth field goal of season, capped off a 10-play, 50-yard drive that lasted 4:43.
