Throughout the 2012 season, the Cleveland Browns and the twenty local business persons who make-up the Northeast Ohio Great Clips franchises teamed-up for the “Believe in Miracles” campaign.
Orange “Believe in Miracles” bracelets were available at all Northeast Ohio Great Clips Salons, and with every purchase, patrons not only received a discount off of their next haircut, but all of the proceeds were donated to the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. In addition, Great Clips also made a donation for every touchdown scored by the Browns.
During the final home game against the Washington Redskins on Dec. 16, Dr. Giovanni Piedimonte, Chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Institute and Physician-in-Chief of the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital accepted the donation of $40,000 from Adam Lieberman, Business Services Manager of Great Clips.
“I am humbled and excited to be a part of such an incredible organization with Great Clips, where both the franchisees and franchisor are committed to being a valued business partner within the communities that we serve,” said Lieberman. “The franchisees in Northeast Ohio are dedicated to not only providing the best haircare services in the area, but to being a trusted and dedicated pillar of the community.”
"Generous gifts such as the one we received from Great Clips help us to provide the best possible care for our children," said Dr. Piedimonte. "To advance our care even further, we will use this donation to expand our research operations and progress in the development of new therapies and management strategies specific for pediatric illnesses."
