Haslam approved as new Browns owner

CHICAGO -- Jimmy Haslam was approved as the new majority owner of the Cleveland Browns at the NFL’s Fall Owners’ Meetings in Chicago.

CHICAGO -- Jimmy Haslam, who agreed to purchase a controlling interest in the Cleveland Browns in August, was approved by a unanimous vote from the other clubs at the NFL’s Fall Owners Meetings in Chicago, the NFL announced Tuesday morning.

Haslam is expected to speak with the media in Chicago in the one o’clock hour EST. Stay tuned to for a live stream of Haslam’s first official press conference as the majority owner of the Browns.
