EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Wide receivers Mohamed Massaquoi and Travis Benjamin are among the inactives for the Cleveland Browns for today’s game against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

Massaquoi and Benjamin missed practice all week with hamstring injuries and were downgraded to “out” after the team made the trip to New Jersey for the game. They were listed as “doubtful” on Friday’s injury report.

Rookie wide receiver Josh Gordon is expected to start in place of Massaquoi.

In addition to Massaquoi and Benjamin, the Browns deactivated quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, running back Brandon Jackson, defensive back Tashaun Gipson, offensive lineman Ryan Miller and tight end Alex Smith.

Smith (head) and Gipson (knee) were listed as “out” on Friday’s injury report.

Rookie linebacker James-Michael Johnson is active for the first time in his career after missing the first four games with an injury to his ribs/oblique muscle.

The Giants deactivated wide receivers Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden, defensive tackle Rocky Benard, cornerback Jayron Hosley, safety Kenny Phillips, tackle David Diehl and linebacker Keith Rivers.

Markus Kuhn will start for Bernard at right defensive tackle.
