KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Despite missing one practice during the week, Cleveland Browns running back Willis McGahee is active and expected to start against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium today.
Fullback Chris Ogbonnaya, who battled rib issues throughout the week, will join McGahee in the Browns’ backfield.
Outside linebacker Quentin Groves and defensive lineman Billy Winn will not play for the Browns in today’s game.
Groves missed the week of practice with an ankle injury, which he aggravated in last week’s 31-13 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Winn remains on the sidelines for the fifth straight game because of a quadriceps injury suffered in the Browns’ last-minute 31-27 victory at the Minnesota Vikings in Week Three.
In addition to Groves and Winn, the Browns have deactivated offensive linemen Patrick Lewis, Martin Wallace and Garrett Gilkey, as well as tight end Keavon Milton.
Linebacker Darius Eubanks, who was signed to the active roster from the Browns’ practice squad before the team travelled to Kansas City Saturday, is active and expected to play.
The Chiefs have deactivated quarterback Tyler Bray, tight end Kevin Brock, safety Bradley McDougald, linebacker Dezman Moses, center Eric Kush, guard Rishaw Johnson and defensive tackle Jaye Howard.
