CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Browns outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo will make his first career start in today’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals at FirstEnergy Stadium. Mingo will start in place of the injured Jabaal Sheard, who will miss the game with a knee injury suffered in last week’s 31-27 win at the Minnesota Vikings.

In two games, Mingo has registered five total tackles, two sacks for 10 lost yards and one pass defended.

In addition to Sheard, the Browns have deactivated quarterback Brandon Weeden (sprained right thumb), linebacker Quentin Groves (ankle), offensive linemen Martin Wallace and Shawn Lauvao (ankle), tight end Keavon Milton and defensive lineman Billy Winn (quadriceps).

Oniel Cousins will make his fourth straight start in place of Lauvao, who is working his way back from an ankle injury suffered during training camp.

The Bengals will play without safety Reggie Nelson, cornerbacks Dre Kirkpatrick and Leon Hall, running back Rex Burkhead, guards Mike Pollak and Tanner Hawkinson and defensive end Margus Hunt.

Adam Jones will start for Hall at right cornerback, and Taylor Mays will go for Nelson at free safety.

Jones, who doubles as a punt returner, has made 12 solo tackles, forced a fumble and recovered another in three games this season. Mays has made seven total tackles for the Bengals.
