The last time the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens shared the football field, running back
Having achieved success against the Ravens’ defense once, Richardson knows what lies before him when the teams renew their AFC North Division rivalry in Baltimore Sunday.
“I look at every team as if they have a bull’s-eye on me, no matter who it is,” Richardson said. “If every team’s bringing their 100 percent to me, I’m going to bring that much more. I know that they gave me their ‘A’ game, and if I had a lot of success or very little, I still know that I went out there and did my best.
The Ravens’ defense looks a lot different this year than it did when Richardson ran for 105 yards in Cleveland.
They lost linebackers Ray Lewis (retirement), Dannell Ellerbe (Miami Dolphins) and
“It’s Baltimore,” Richardson said. “What game will you get more pumped up than playing the champions from last year? This defense is talented. It’s more talented than I’ve ever seen. Even with Ray and Ed not there, they’re talented and fast. They’re bullies. They’re going to do anything they can to stop you. They’re talented up front; they’re talented all around. It’s a hardcore defense.”
