Cleveland Browns fans will learn plenty about the team’s new head coach when “Pat Shurmur: A Conversation” airs at 6 p.m. Wednesday on Sportstime Ohio.
Replays of the show will air at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 22nd, and 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 23. Next week, it will air at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28th, 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30th and 4 p.m. Friday, August 5th.
In the 30-minute special, Jamir Howerton sits down with Shurmur to discuss his path from high school player in Dearborn, Michigan to the National Football League.
Shurmur also addresses the “direction of the team.”
“We’re trying to win the AFC North, we’re trying to then compete in and win the Super Bowl,” Shurmur told Howerton. “There should be new excitement because it’s a new direction with systems and plans that have won multiple Super Bowls. That’s what we’re trying to put into place.”
Shurmur added, “I feel great about the people in the building, the players we’re going to coach, and so I’m just looking forward to putting it together and putting a product on the field that Cleveland Browns fans can be proud of. I want them to be proud because we’re playing winning football and I think that’s the direction we’re going to go.”
