Hey Browns fans, welcome to 10 Questions With… A new feature where we will get with a different Browns player each week and ask them ten questions to help you, the fans, get to know them better. Starting off this week is defensive back ![]()
Q: How has training camp been going so far and how much of a difference has a full offseason of work made in your development as a player?
A: Training camp has been going really well and I’m learning a lot. After OTA’s (Organized Team Activities) and minicamps, it’s good that you just keep on picking up information so you don’t digress, you just keep moving forward. So what you learned already you just keep learning and you keep honing in on it so you don’t forget.
Q: What was your mindset going into the first preseason game?
A: Just to do my best and be what the coaches want me to be, be what the team wants me to be and be what I want to be. Set my goals out and accomplish them and keep going and doing what I have to do.
Q: What areas of your game have you improved the most?
A: I would say being more talkative and communicating more to the corners and linebackers, being more vocal in the back and also slowing the game down and learning different formations and different things that teams do.
Q: What has been your favorite part of training camp?
A: Just being back with my teammates and being in the locker room back with everybody.
Q: What has it been like playing in front of the record crowds at training camp this year?
A: Yeah, it stinks when you mess up a play and you hear them go ‘ahhhh’ or ‘yeah’ or they’re excited, but other than that we’re supposed to be paying attention to them anyways and I try not to. It’s good that they have so much support and it’s awesome that they’re out here, but all-in-all we’re trying to do our job and do it the best we can.
Q: In general, how do the fans impact the way you play?
A: It’s really good to have their support so just having a supporting community and the fans that love us we obviously want to go out and play for them, play for our team and also play for God too.
Q: Has anyone on the team taken you under their wing and acted as a mentor to you to help you develop as a player?
A: There are a lot of guys and I talk to everyone. Mostly though, people like Sheldon (Brown) of course, ![]()
Q: What is it like playing in the secondary with ![]()
![]()
A: Oh, it’s super cool. They help me out and I help them out. It’s good because off of the field we all get along and it’s super cool in the locker room. Any kind of questions that they have or I have we all talk about it so on the field it helps us out to be more crisp and clean.
Q: What kind of personal goals do you have set for yourself for this upcoming season?
A: To do my job and get better every day and just to keep doing what I need to do.
Q: Are there any active players in the NFL that you look up to and inspire you?
A: I look up to Troy Polamalu because he’s quiet and he’s a Christian. He doesn’t really talk too much, but he does his job silently. Not silently as he doesn’t talk, but he doesn’t show off or do too much stuff and he keeps his faith on and off the field.
