'The Game' joins Browns Radio Network

Posted May 22, 2013

95.5 WZOH in Columbus has joined the PNC Bank Cleveland Browns Radio Network.

WZOH Radio (95.5 FM) in Columbus will join the PNC Bank Cleveland Browns Radio Network starting in 2013, it was announced today.  The station, which is part of the Wilks Broadcasting Group, consists of a sports talk format and is known as “95.5 The Game.”  Not only will they air all Browns games – both preseason and regular season – but they will also carry full pre- and post-game coverage.  In addition, a multitude of shoulder programming will be offered that will provide Browns fans coverage throughout the year.  This programming will include a weekly in-season coach’s show and “Cleveland Browns Weekend,” which currently airs on 92.3 The Fan each Saturday from 6:00 – 7:00 a.m.

“We’re excited to be partnering with a station as strong and committed to sports as ‘The Game,’ said Browns President Alec Scheiner.  “Columbus is an extremely important market to the Browns and this addition to our network will allow our fans in this region to follow all of our games as well as other team programming.  With its reach, the station also can be heard over a large area, another benefit that was enticing to us and a factor which is a positive for our fans.  We are continuing to work diligently to bring Browns football to the entire state of Ohio and hope to have more stations join the PNC Bank Cleveland Browns Radio Network soon.”

"As Columbus' new Sports Station, 95.5 The Game is extremely excited to create a new long-term partnership with the Cleveland Browns,” said Wilks Executive Vice President of Programming Jeff Sanders.  “We know how much Columbus loves football, and when it comes to the NFL, we know how much Columbus loves The Browns!  We're looking forward to many successful seasons!"
