“I’m excited about it,” Weeden said of interacting the fans. “I’m a car nut, so I’m anxious to go check out these cars. Then again, the fans have been away from football for a few months, so I’m excited to get back into Cleveland and see all the fans, and have a little interaction that we weren’t able to have in the last couple months.”
Weeden and Kosar spent two hours visiting with fans and signing autographs at the Ford display just inside the West entrance of the I-X Center. Weeden and Kosar signed everything from jerseys to posters, and one fan actually handed Weeden a baseball to sign.
Prior to being drafted by the Browns and playing college football at Oklahoma State, Weeden was a minor-leaguer for the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Dodgers and Kansas City Royals.
The waiting line for autographs stretched all the way past the Ford trucks exhibit and midway down the food court corridor of the I-X Center.
“It’s always a good turnout,” Weeden said. “Anytime you have Browns players, it just happens that the fans show up. It’s awesome.”
