Cleveland gets another crack at Houston, New York Jets

The Browns will square off against the Jets under the lights at FirstEnergy Stadium next fall.

We’re breaking down Cleveland’s 2017 rematches.

Week 3: New York Jets

Sept. 20 (8:20 p.m.) @FirstEnergy Stadium

2017 record: 5-11

The skinny: Welcome back to primetime, Cleveland. After a year full of 1 p.m. starts, the Browns will host the Jets on Thursday Night Football with the chance to avenge back-to-back losses to the Jets. Cleveland outgained the Jets last season and couldn’t protect a 20-10 halftime lead in 2016. The matchup marks New York's third straight trip to Northeast Ohio.

Week 13: Houston Texans

Dec. 2 (1 p.m) @NRG Stadium

2017 record: 4-12

The skinny: The Texans rolled over the Browns last season behind rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson and a tough defense. Despite a strong start, Houston was ravaged by injuries that sidelined Watson, star defensive end J.J. Watt and other key players.
