Biography

Jason Veltkamp enters his first season with the Browns. Veltkamp currently serves the staff as a strength and conditioning coordinator.

Veltkamp comes to the Browns after spending three years as the head football strength and conditioning coach at N.C. State. Before coaching the Wolf Pack, he served as the head strength and conditioning coach at Arkansas from 2008-12 and the head football strength and conditioning coach at Louisville from 2004-07.

Prior to his time at Louisville, Veltkamp spent five years at Utah as an assistant strength and conditioning coach from 1999-2001 and later as the director of strength and conditioning from 2001-03.

Veltkamp played offensive line at Carroll College, where he graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in coaching and sports management. He also attained his master’s degree in exercise physiology from Utah State as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach from 1997-99.

A native of Bozeman, Mont., Veltkamp attended Charles M. Russell High School in Great Falls, Mont. Veltkamp and his wife, Kristen, have two sons, Caden and Colton.
