CoachesAndy DickersonDefensive Quality Control CoachYear with Browns: 1stYear in NFL: 4th Andy Dickerson was named the defense quality control coach by the Cleveland Browns on January 22, 2009. He served in a similar capacity the last three years with the Jets (2006-08). Dickerson played collegiate football at Tufts from 1999-2002. He also performed in the shot put, discus and hammer throw on the school’s track and field squad. Before that, he was a three-sport captain in football, wrestling, and track and field at Tower Hill School in his hometown of Wilmington, Del.
Before joining the Jets staff, Dickerson worked in the operations department of the New England Patriots, first as an intern in 2004 and then on a full-time basis the following year. He began his NFL career with the Washington Redskins as a training camp intern in 2003 before spending that season as a graduate assistant on offense at Tufts University. |
