Jim Jauch
Associate Director, Pro Personnel
Jim Jauch is entering his fifth season with the Browns and his first in a newly created position of Associate Director, Pro Personnel. Jauch spent the previous four seasons as a college scout for the Browns and has 16 years of NFL scouting experience. Jauch joined the Browns in 2004 and worked four seasons (2004-07) as a College Area Scout - East.
Jauch worked from 1992 to 2003 as a college scout for the San Diego Chargers, where he was responsible for the most comprehensive area held by a college scout for the franchise. Since 2002, he has covered nine states in the Midwest, including Ohio, and also crosschecked the Southeast, which included eight additional states.
Jauch played four seasons in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Calgary Stampeders (1989), Edmonton Eskimos (1990) and Hamilton Tigercats (1991-92).
Jauch earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he lettered four times as a defensive back. His father, Ray, was a head coach for the Washington Federals (USFL) and also served as a head coach for 14 seasons in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Jauch was born on June 25, 1965, in Iowa City, Iowa. He and his wife, Shaunea, reside in Cleveland and have a daughter, Sienna, 2.
