Chisom Opara
College Area Scout
Chisom Opara is in his fourth season with the Browns as an area scout. Opara is entering his second season as a Southeast area scout after serving the previous two seasons as a Southwest area scout.
Opara spent the 2004 season with the Baltimore Ravens as a player personnel assistant. Opara served as an in-house scout and prepared special teams scouting reports, as well as scouting local colleges in Maryland, Delaware, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Opara originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2003 and went to training camp with the Ravens before being waived at the end of camp. Opara went back to school and graduated from Princeton in 2004 with a B.A. in politics.
Opara played collegiate football at Princeton and finished his career second all-time in receiving yards (2,198) and third in receptions (154). Opara served as team captain his senior year and was a second-team All-Ivy League selection. Opara was born Dec. 16, 1981, in Baltimore, Md.
