Gatski anchored a powerful offensive line during the Browns' dominant years in the AAFC and NFL. He was known as a strong, consistent and exceptional pass blocker who never missed a game or practice in high school, college or pro football. Gatski played in 11 championship games in 12 years with his teams winning eight times. Gatski's career started as a linebacker. He was named to the All-NFL team four times. He played in the 1957 Pro Bowl. Gatski was born on March 18, 1922 in Farmington, W.Va.
