History: Cleveland Browns LegendsThe Cleveland Browns Legends Class of 2007 has been inducted. Horace Gillom (1940s-50s), Bill Glass (1960s), Don Cockroft (1970s), and Kevin Mack (1980s-90s) were inducted into the Browns Legends on the field at Cleveland Browns Stadium prior to the team's home game on Oct. 14 against the Miami Dolphins. Each year, one player from each era in Browns history is inducted into the Browns Legends, based on fan voting and a 10-member Legends panel. Each former Brown in the Pro Football Hall of Fame is automatically inducted into the Cleveland Browns Legends. The Browns created the Cleveland Browns Legends in 2001 to annually honor former players who have made a major impact on the organization. Players must have been on the Browns' active roster for a minimum of four seasons and could not be on a current NFL roster or have been on any NFL roster during the 2006 season. Voting for the 2008 Legends Class will begin in the summer. For the full list of Browns Legends inducted since '01, click here. |
