Len Ford
Defensive End
Select another honoree:
Ford caught 67 passes as a two-way end with the Dons in 1948-49. After the AAFC folded, the Browns converted him to a full-time defensive end. The Browns altered their defensive schemes to take advantage of his exceptional pass rushing skills. Ford overcame a serious injury in 1950 and went on to earn All-NFL honors five times from 1951-55. He played in four Pro Bowls. Throughout his career, Ford recovered 20 opponents' fumbles. He was born on Feb. 18, 1926 in Washington, D.C. Ford died March 14, 1972 at the age of 46.
