Oct. 24, 2004 – Philadelphia 34, Cleveland 31, at Cleveland; Eagles won toss. QB Jeff Garcia sent the game to overtime with a 4-yard run with :30 left in the fourth quarter. The Browns forced a punt on the Eagles first possession of overtime but couldn’t cross mid-field and gave the ball back to Philadelphia. Eagles K David Akers made a 50-yard field goal with 5:02 left in overtime. Dec. 3, 2006 – Cleveland 31, Kansas City 28, at Cleveland; Chiefs won toss. QB Derek Anderson led the Browns on a 14-point fourth-quarter comeback featuring two touchdown passes to TE Steve Heiden, the second of which tied the score with 35 seconds remaining. The Chiefs drove to their own 41-yard-line to open overtime before punting the ball away. Anderson led the Browns on a 63-yard drive featuring a 33-yard run for the QB on the way to a game-winning 33-yard field goal for Phil Dawson. NOTE—Cleveland’s overtime record is 14-13-1 (15-14-1 including postseason). The Browns set a team record with four overtime games in 1989, tying for second most in NFL history.
