Biography

Career Transactions: Originally drafted by Cleveland in the seventh round (247th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft with a compensatory pick.

College: Four-year letterman at the University of Alabama (2008-11)… Appeared in 47 games as a tight end and H-back… Recorded 54 career receptions for 559 yards with four touchdowns… Also notched one rushing attempt for one yard… As a senior, appeared in all 13 games with 10 starts at tight end and tallied 34 receptions for 356 yards and four touchdowns… Majored in business administration.

Personal: Native of Tuscaloosa, Ala., where he attended American Christian Academy High School… Lead team to state semifinals as a quarterback as a senior… Also played baseball… Brother, Chris, was a quarterback at South Carolina, before transferring to Alabama where he plays baseball.
