2010: Inactive for the first two games with a pectoral injury sustained during training camp before being placed on injured reserve on September 25… Also missed all four preseason games with the injury.
2009: Voted a co-captain on defense… Started each of the first six games at inside linebacker… Sustained a pectoral injury at Pittsburgh (10/18) and was placed on injured reserve two days later… At the time of his injury had registered 57 tackles, a figure that led the team… Came up with a season-high 14 tackles in addition to a pass defensed and the first forced fumble of his career, against Cincinnati (10/4)… Led the squad in tackles in four of the six contests in which he appeared.

2007: Led the team with 111 tackles… Had a season-high 12 tackles at N.Y. Jets (12/9)… Left game at St. Louis (10/28) in the second quarter (ankle) and was inactive for
the next two contests… Recorded his first career interception, off Matt Schaub, vs. Houston (11/25)… Part of a defensive effort that gave the Browns their first shutout since 2005 (11/20/05 vs. Miami, 22-0 win) and held the Bills to 232 net yards of offense in an 8-0 win vs. Buffalo (12/16)… Lone career fumble recovery came at Cincinnati (12/23)… First sack of his career came in finale vs. San Francisco (12/30) when he dropped Chris Weinke for a seven-yard loss.
2006: Ranked second on the club with 115 tackles and also contributed on special teams with 11 stops… Made his NFL debut and started at weakside linebacker with 10 tackles vs. New Orleans (9/10)… Was credited with double-digit tackle totals on five occasions, including a season-high 12 twice; vs. Miami (10/14) and at New York Jets (12/9)… Sustained a toe injury at Pittsburgh (12/7), and was forced to miss the final three regular season games… Placed on injured reserve on December 15.
College: In 48 games at the University of Maryland (2002-05), started 34 contests and became the seventh player in school history to record more than 400 career tackles… His 447 tackles ranked fourth on the all-time record list… Finished his career with 10.5 sacks for 62 yards, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, six interceptions, eight pass breakups and one blocked kick… In 2005, became only the second Maryland player to earn Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors, joining E.J. Henderson, who earned the award in 2001 and 2002… Became one of three players in school annals to lead the team in tackles three consecutive seasons… Majored in criminology and criminal justice.
Personal: Born in Largo, Fla. and attended Seminole (Fla.) High School… Lettered three times in football, competing as a fullback, linebacker, quarterback and punter… First-team all-state selection by the Associated Press as a junior and senior, adding first-team all-conference, all-district and All-Sun Coast honors in his final year… Played in the prestigious Florida-Georgia All-Star game… Seminole High went 23-4 in his last two years and made the regional finals both seasons… The 2000 team was undefeated in the regular season and finished 12-1… Recorded 91 tackles and 10 sacks as a linebacker and also rushed for 950 yards (5.7 avg.) and 13 touchdowns as a fullback during his senior season… Active in the Cleveland community and founded the “Jackson’s Captains” season ticket program which provided tickets, apparel and food for the Wilbur Wright School.
