Career Transactions: Originally drafted by Cleveland in the sixth round (204th overall) of the 2012NFL Draft with a compensatory pick.

College: Appeared in 48 games at the University of Texas (2008-11)… Recorded 280 career tackles, eight sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions… Started all 13 games as a senior and totaled 131 tackles, three sacks, one interception and one forced fumble… 2010 recipient of the Arthur Ashe Award (national award for minority student-athletes)… Majored in sports management.

Personal: Native of Dallas, Texas, where he attended St. Mark’s High School… Helped St. Mark’s to a 32-9 record during his four seasons… Also participated in basketball and track… Brother, Sam, was a fourth-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2011… Goes on medical missions to Nigeria with his family each summer.
