Bobby Vega enters his seventh season with the Browns and fifth as a college area scout. Prior to becoming a scout, he spent two seasons as the club’s scouting assistant. Vega entered the NFL in 2004, spending the summer as a player personnel intern with the Baltimore Ravens.
A four-year letterman at the College of Wooster, Vega spent his freshman season as a running back before switching to defense, where he was a linebacker for his final three seasons. As a senior, he started 12 games and ranked second on the club with 91 tackles as the Fighting Scots captured the North Coast Athletic Conference title. During his collegiate career, he earned All-Region honors and was named to the All-Conference squad twice. He graduated in 2005 with a degree in communications.
A native of Hartford, Conn., Vega currently resides in Morrisville, N.C.
