Browns players, staff, family members spend day transforming Earle B. Turner Recreation Center

Everyone in Cleveland knows it's a Browns town.

So for offensive linemen Drew Forbes, Kendall Lamm and Justin McCray, what better way to show that then by giving back Tuesday afternoon and helping to renovate the Earle B. Turner Recreation Center in Cleveland with Browns branding throughout the building.

Through Browns Give Back and with the assistance of Browns staff and families, the three spent time painting rooms orange with the Browns' helmet stripe down the middle.

Multi-purpose rooms in the building were also set up with new desks for homework and study purposes, comfy chairs for relaxation and new sports and gaming equipment was installed as well.

As the temperature continues to fall in Northeast Ohio, the smiles of the kids set to enjoy these new amenities will rise.

"I think it's a cool thing for the kids to know that it's something that we did," McCray said. "Just knowing that we care about them and it'll be something cool for them to do when it's cold out and they need somewhere to go … To show our colors and our spirit here in this building is a good thing for us."

For Lamm, giving back to kids is a priority based on his experience growing up in North Carolina meeting NFL players.

"I can remember being in elementary school and middle school and meeting some of the Panthers," Lamm said. "I met Julius Peppers in an area just like this and they came and gave back. To see him take his time out and impact a young kid like me is truly what inspired me and made me want to become a football player."

Through Browns Give Back, the Cleveland Browns are dedicated to #give10 through the team's First and Ten initiative. Launched in June 2014, the Cleveland Browns First and Ten campaign is the team's community program, established to inspire fans to volunteer in and help their communities throughout the world by volunteering for 10 hours each year. Through First and Ten, the Browns are the only NFL club to promote a long-term volunteering program that unifies the team and its entire fan base, with the goal of impacting every individual's city across the globe, as well as the franchise's local community. All Browns fans are encouraged to join the volunteering effort by signing the First and Ten pledge on the team's website and by sharing their stories with #give10.
