Monday Snap Counts: Browns defensive depth tested after injuries to 2 key starters

We're breaking down who played how much in Sunday's 29-13 loss to the Texans.

-- Four Browns defensive players were on the field for all 76 snaps -- DB T.J. Carrie, DB Damarious Randall, LB Jamie Collins and LB Joe Schobert.

-- When Denzel Ward went down with a concussion, Phillip Gaines saw the biggest increase in playing time, logging 40 snaps. Gaines was claimed via waivers from the Buffalo Bills last month. Before Sunday, he'd primarily played on special teams.

-- Brian Price saw a significant bump in playing time after Larry Ogunjobi went down with a biceps injury. He played 32 snaps while Ogunjobi logged 33.

-- The Browns essentially split the snaps at their third linebacker spot Sunday, using Genard Avery for 33 and Tanner Vallejo for 31.

-- Myles Garrett played 61 of a possible 76 snaps. Anthony Zettel helped spell him, logging 21.

-- Jarvis Landry and David Njoku were the most active offensive players -- outside of the line and QB -- with 46 snaps apiece.

-- Rookie RB Nick Chubb played 27 of a possible 57 offensive snaps. Duke Johnson was on the field for 20 and Dontrell Hilliard got 12.

-- The Browns didn't use a second tight end as much as they did in the previous two games. Darren Fells was on the field for 15 snaps and Seth DeValve played 6.

-- Jabrill Peppers logged 55 snaps on defense and 21 on special teams, the latter of which was the most of anyone for the Browns.
