Sunday Snap Counts: Defense's depth tested in loss to Lions

A closer look at who played how much in Sunday's loss to the Lions …

-- QB DeShone Kizer, in what was arguably his best performance of the season, played 74 of a possible 81 snaps. The seven he missed went to Cody Kessler, who filled in for Kizer when he went out with a rib injury late in the third quarter.

-- Zach Banner played the first snaps of his NFL career, getting 24 at right tackle in place of Shon Coleman. The starter went out with a concussion during the second half.

-- The Browns had six players play every single snap (52) on defense: Derrick Kindred, Jabrill Peppers, Joe Schobert, Jamar Taylor, Christian Kirksey and Jason McCourty.

-- Duke Johnson Jr. played 48 of a possible 81 snaps. Isaiah Crowell played 36.

-- James Burgess Jr. played 31 snaps after Jamie Collins Sr. went down with a knee injury early in the game.

-- Sammie Coates, who came into the game with 57 snaps on the season, played 17 on offense and 14 on special teams. He caught a 38-yard pass on Cleveland's first play of the game.

-- Myles Garrett, in his first game back from a concussion, played 38 of a possible 52 snaps. Emmanuel Ogbah, who had two sacks, played 37.
