Hue Jackson press conference - 8/12

(on the game as a whole) "Obviously, we have some work to do after watching our performance tonight. Obviously, we have some work to do everywhere, like I just told our team. It's good to get out and get in the game against a different opponent, but it kind of gave us an idea of where we are, and we have to get better and we need to get better in a lot of different areas and I think we understand that. We'll be back to work on Sunday and we'll get after it."

(on quarterback Robert Griffin III's interception to Micah Hyde) "Obviously, I'm going to take responsibility for that because, at the end of the day, I think when we get down there, I have to do a better job of making sure he understands that we have to take care of the ball better. It's unfortunate that he tried to stick a ball in there, in that situation, and I just have to make sure, when I put him in those situations, I give him enough time so that doesn't happen. Again, that is a learning experience for him, that he's got to grow from, especially when we're in that situation where we have a chance to score and do a great job of taking care of the ball. That's on me, I just have to do a better job of coaching him and putting him in those spots, so that he understands, in that situation, exactly what to do."

(on Griffin III's play as a whole) "I thought he had great poise. I think everything was great. Obviously, that first play was outstanding. After that, again, maybe not playing, or whatever that is, I just think there are some things that we've just got to continue to harp on. Not just him, just our whole offensive football team. We're used to just kind of starting fast, and we had the chance to do that and we didn't capture that. We just need to get better as a unit. It's not just him, it's all 11 guys."

(on Terrelle Pryor Sr.'s first catch) "I thought it was outstanding. I think Terrelle is growing each and every day, but again, I think as a unit, we need to continue to get better."

(on quarterback Cody Kessler's two safeties) "We are going to grow from that, too. It was his first opportunity. It's unfortunate, but again, I'm going to take responsibility for all of these things. I have to coach this group better. And we will; we are getting better."

(on the offense as a whole) "Again, I think just as an offensive unit overall, we didn't play the way we think we are capable of playing. We will go back to work on Sunday and get better."
