Josh McCown press conference: Browns vs. Ravens

(on his thoughts about playing in M&T Bank Stadium for the first time) "I liked it. It was pretty good. The game was a little closer than you'd like but this is a fun place to play. The fans may not be as passionate as Browns fans but they're pretty close. This is a very special win, and I hope it will give us momentum going forward."

(on the Browns throwing so much) "It was obvious on Wednesday that we were going to have to throw the ball to win this game. But we are ready to do this every week. We've got the receivers. We've got the offensive line, and we've got play-makers. We want to be efficient on offense in terms of running and passing, and I think we were today."

(on bouncing back from the San Diego loss) "I like the way this team responded. Half the teams in this league lose every week but we want to be the team that responds the best every week, and I think we did that today."

(on TE Gary Barnidge's game) "Once again, he was awesome. It's great to have him on our team. On his touchdown, I just threw it up because I was under pressure. I didn't even see the catch. Gary came back and said 'I caught it. I didn't use my hands but I caught it.' "

(on if this was a character-building win) "When you consider the full scope of it, it looks like we did show our full character today. We were behind, and we kept fighting and responded like this. Everybody had a role in this win – the players, the coaches, the trainers, the equipment men. Sometimes a win like this means more than just one win."

(on if feels if he redeemed himself after many wrote him off) "I never wrote me off. The people in Cleveland never wrote me off. I respect the job that [the media] has to do but I can't let it affect me. You have to block out the noise and keep a good mind-set."

(on having an historic game) "I think this will be a cool thing to look back at when my career is over. There are a lot of things that I want to be the first Browns quarterback to do. Those are all team goals. Everybody had a hand in making this a historic game."

(on how aware he was of his stats) "During the game, I have no idea what the stats are. In fact, the play I kept thinking about was the pass to [wide receiver] Travis [Benjamin] in the second quarter. He was wide open, and I threw it low. I just missed him. That was the play that we challenged but he didn't catch it. That bothered me all game."

(On out-playing Ravens QB Joe Flacco) "I don't look at it as me against the other quarterback. We are not on the field at the same time. I have so much respect for Joe, and what he has accomplished. Joe has done what all of us want to do. He took his team to the Super Bowl. He won the game and was the MVP in his contract year."
