Originally selected by the Cleveland Browns in the fifth round (144th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Key Notes

  • Finished his career with 50 games played in four seasons and completed 1,267 of 1,808 passes (70.1%) for 14,353 yards and 134 touchdowns with 27 interceptions.

  • Started all 13 games in his senior season at Colorado, completing 353 of 477 passes (74.0%) for 4,134 yards with 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, adding four rushing touchdowns.

  • Named second-team AP All-American and Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year in 2024.

  • In 2023, started 11 games and completed 298 of 430 passes (.693) for 3,230 yards and 31 touchdowns with just three interceptions.

  • Set numerous Colorado school records including career passing touchdowns (64) and passer rating in a season (165.9 in 2024) .

  • Before transferring to Colorado, spent two seasons at Jackson State where he posted a 23-3 record as the starting quarterback and completed 616 of 901 passes for 6,983 yards and 70 touchdowns with just 14 interceptions, while adding 157 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. Named Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Player of the Year in 2022.
