Browns interview Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin

The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday interviewed Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin for the team's head coach opening.

Austin is the second candidate to be interviewed. Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase was interviewed earlier in the day.

Austin met with the Browns' five-person search committee, which includes owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam, executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown, chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta and Korn/Ferry International consultant Jed Hughes.
